Thanks Duncan, your thread was one that I went through as well which started the question as to which was the best shape to have. At this point I've roughed out a shape that would stay just inside the brackets and then extends about 2" past my platform. I'll update with a picture before I make the actual cut.

Subscribed! I'm just about to get some material to make this for my '08 Z1! I'll be interested to see some updated pics! Getting way too much spray off mine as well.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I do this or not. My wave is fairly clean coming around the back. I get wash from the opposite side coming in which can froth over to the clean side but, If I move out or the drivers seat towards the passenger side it cleans right up again. Not sure if a flap will help with any of this. I haven't set up for goofy yet so I'm not sure what that side is like.

Cal-riss, where did you find those black brackets? They look that they would work the best for the slots in the platform brackets. I have the same swim platform but can't find brackets like those. Do you know where you got those from?

I made the brackets out of 1.5" x .25" angle iron and had them powder coated.

I like your design the best since it can be removed easily if needed. What about the end that fits in the swim platform slots? Did you grid them down to fit or cut the bottom sections off?

I cut the angle off, so i was left with just a straight bar to fit through the slots in the swim step. The fit was a little loose at first so i plasti dipped the ends and that snugged everything up.

I have a '13 RZR and I have been looking for a removable flap design. Great job! I have a question-did you look into using aluminum angle instead? Just curious....

Is this mod only to help the rzr type boats or do you think it would help with my 21v?

On the lighter side I can't believe no one has put chrome trucker girls on their mud flaps yet. That may need to be my contribution to this thread.
