The steering cable was never replace. The only problem it had under warranty was the taps plate was leaking fluid. wws fixed that.

Flap...I had 0 issues with my flap design. After a small amount of testing time it never came off or interfered with any other boating sport for 2 seasons and countless clinics and even a photo shoot for Dom and Liquid force's 2014 catalog. It cleans things up a lot, more so on the boiling effect you get just at the back of the swim platform....but I had a Z3 swim deck....smooth under there...no lip to deal with so you may not get it as clean as some of my pics out there unless your into trimming that lip off. I was not...

From memory, I don't recall ever seeing a photo of your surf flap or how it was mounted. Maybe I missed that ...

I'm curious to see how the flap works on your RZR. The goofy wave on mine sucks. I have a lot of extra weight in the bow so maybe that's the issue.
The regular wave is money though.

My boat is exactly like yours. Regular wave is money and my goofy wave is flat out awful! When trying to work with my goofy wave last season I had the 400 bag full up front and I think that ruined mine as well. Our boats definitely needs bow weight for wave length but I only had 600 lbs back there (surf system tank and bag). I'm pretty sure it needs about 300 more pounds or so.

I got all the supplies for my surf flap but wont install for a couple weeks, my boat was wrapped with the platform on and it's a pain to work under the platform right now with the way it's wrapped. Ill update when I do and ill do some videos with the go pro when we dunk it in the water here soon hopefully.

Your both onto it.....they love bow weight (surf side only)...

I found the lip on the swim deck makes some wash, then the boiling thing....flap remove both...VX improves all and provides tradition options and a much longer wave....
Let me see If I can dig up some flap pics..

I can attest to how clean and powerful Squid's wave is. The flap definitely cleans it up and like he said, look at the 2014 Liquid Force brochure for Dom's new board and that is Squid's boat in the picture that is riding behind and that was a windy morning (photo shoot almost didn't happen).

So this thread inspired me. We have been thinking about adding this to our 2012 RZR with 343pcm and surf ballast for some time. My daughter and I (she is 13) did this mod in about two hours. We had to drill two holes in our brackets as ours did not have prexsisitng holes. We used 3/8" thread rod, a 4x3x1/2" horse mat. We followed the lead of the other thread and attached using 12 ubolts with backing plates. We drilled holes in the horse mat and fed them through. The rod is threaed through the ubolts which are secured on the under side. We trimmed the mat to extend about 3" past the end of the swim platform. Our swim platform has the lip on it and I am really hoping this helps (especially on the goofy side) since I am not into modifying the platform.

The mat is mounted on the interior of the brackets as the spacing is right about 4 feet so the mat fit nice. This leaves us a couple of inches on either side of the platform where the lip will still be leading edge but I think we will be fine.

Also the larger horsemat available was 1" and 6'x4'. FYI the horse mat is very heavy our sheet wieghs about 60lbs. I have trimmed alot off so it is better but still heavy.

We bought all the hardware form Lowes and the horse mat from Tractor Supply Co. Total cost is about $60.00. We are taking it out Friday so I will have some pics and report back on how well it works.

Excellent! Cannot wait to see wave pics. Can you post some pics of the installed mat?
