    purchasing a tige ?'s

I am looking a buying a 04 tige 24v. Are they the same hull as the 05-08? Those are the years I was initially looking at. I really want a boat that surf's well, and has a decent wakeboard wake too. Thanks!

04-06 "V" are the same hull but the 06 on "Ve" is different. These hulls will deliver!

For a surf boat, not having factory ballast is a plus IMO. I would expect to see signs of age/wear in the same areas of that boat, as any other 10 year old boat. Structurally, its a tank.

I have a 2004 24V and love it. My boat had factory ballast and it would have been easier if it did not have the factory ballast. Mike walked me through pulling out the hard tanks and removing and replacing the factory ballast intake and pumps. 2004 factory pumps are too slow (500 gph, new pumps cost the same as cartridge upgrade), can't fill underway, and are prone to air locks (won't prime).

I am not sure where current prices are but it seems like there is slightly less inventory than I saw when I was looking and buying (started looking in Oct 2012 and bought in Jan 2013). At that time, any 24V's priced over 40k seemed to sit longer. Anything under $30k seemed to be in pretty bad shape but still sold quickly. I would expect a clean boat in that market to fetch somewhere in that range. It wouldn't surprise me if prices have gone up as it seems like there is less inventory now than when I was looking.

When I did a quick search, I didn't see many 24V's out there! I did find one currently listed at $35k with that bigger engine (6L). Good luck!

The 24V and 22V have to be two of the best surf boats made prior to 2007. If you want to know about the surf wave on this thing, just look for Duffy's threads. He knows this boat's wave as well as anyone.

We have an 05 24V (same as 04) and the family loves it. Lots of room and the wave is easy to dial in and surf. Depending on upgrades and condition I would guess value between $32-$38k based on an appraisal I had done last year. I live in North Idaho. Like stingreye mentioned there are not a lot out there for sale and surf boats are in demand. Good luck!
