    LED lights

Ok I so I bought these reel nice supper bright LED water proof lights.
I order some in RED to use in my ice chest and they work great so I thought I add some to my swim step. When I placed my order, I glanced over the page and thought they came in 5 foot rolls, so I order 3. Well it turns out they come in 5 meter rolls so now I have about 30 feet of extra white LED lights.
I was hoping some of you could give me some ideas on where to install them. I was thinking that I would use a few feet on the trailer as a backup light but that's all I have for now
    Thanks

Heres a cool trailer thread with led's in case you haven't seen it: http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showt...Trailer+lights

A lot of guys also install lights thru their compartments and under the helm

Watch where you locate them in your ice chest. Those lights are not robust at all. Its easy to cut the silicone and damage the pods and strip. I also would not recommend using on the trailer rails for the same reason, they wont last. Although they waterproof and encapsulated in silicone, im not sure how they will hold up to being submerged as in an under swim platform application. But they are great for inboard accent lighting, just dont rely on the thin adhesive strip to hole them in place for long, it will eventually let go.

I agree with Mike, those things have a short lifespan. We installed overhead in a customers engine room and within a year they were kaput. Let us know how they work for you.

Well, I think I got the same lights maybe, some of those are my Lights I used them in my kitchen, bathroom ceiling and my aquarium. :) They are not very bright like some normal bulbs but really beautiful and kinda cool.
This is my first post, correct me if I am wrong.

One of my buddies has them on his tower, not for night time driving light but on the side of the tower facing back (Malibu LSV 2013) so they just accent and are pretty cool. Wish i had a pic to share of them but none that i can find.

I have a switch, so my ice chest is semi transparent. I wrapped the lights around the outside of the ice chest so that will not be exposed to the water. for the swim deck, I was thinking of sticking them to the bottom next the lid that hangs down around the outer edge. Then covering them with clear epoxy at a slight angle.

              What do you think?
