Thats is a huge statement. If even a few people want there money back thats a huge cost. I'm sure they are encouraging their dealers to demo customers before purchase and since they saw and rode the system prior to purchase that negates the buyback.

Yes, indeed! It's been quite a while in both hardware and software development. Prototype was deployed on my 24Ve last summer. Pre-production units will be on at least two boats this Spring. It includes features that no one else is doing, as far as I've been able to find. More when I'm able to talk about it... I'll announce it here first.

You really need to read the fine print of it though. I believe the boat has to have under 10 hours use on it to qualify to get paid back among other things. Considering most people spend way more than 10 hours on the water getting their setups perfected it doesnt seem like much of a guarantee. Mastercraft makes a very nice boat but from what i've seen they tend to not stack up in the surf wave department.

I just went and read the conditions. Must be under 30 days from purchase and under 10 engine hours of use. You also don't get a refund unless you buy a comparable boat from a competitor within a certain time period. Sounds pretty useless to me.

Who gets to decide if the "other" boat is comparable enough to get your money back?

And does this mean you have to buy the second boat BEFORE you get your MC money back? In other words, you have to front the money for TWO BOATS in the hopes that MC will be gracious enough to give you a refund?

Like most such "guarantees", sounds basically worthless and nothing more than a promotional gimmick.
