Surf Fingers Alpha Z tower

Who makes the best surf board holders for a 2009 Alpha Z tower with the Samson board racks installed form the factory? I know Samson makes some but they are around $710 bucks and I think thats pretty high!

Be nice to have another option

You could always get the surf bimini and store them up top.

I think I am doing that as well but I could have 3 to 4 boards with us at any time and would like extra storage on the tower. Any ideas?

We have the surf bimini (absolutely must have) and Samson racks. But the Samson racks do not fit 2 out of our 3 glass surf-style boards.

I bought one from Tige. I considered having one made (see thread) but my local shop gave a silly cost estimate.

How do you secure your wakeboards in the racks when there's no hooks for the bungee cord loop? I should have gotten that surf bimini option.

How would you secure anything in the rack if there was no hook for the bungee cord? Do you racks have no bungee's? Do your wake boards stay in there without anything holding them? I have never personally seen any racks without some kind of bungee or strap to retain the boards!!

I know I thought the same thing. My board racks have NO Hook for the bungee loop, maybe I'm an idiot, but I have no clue on how I would secure our boards. There's just 2 long bungee cords with loops at the end - the ends of my board racks are smooth and there's no place to hook on. I'm calling the dealer today when they open. Haven't taken the boat out on the water yet with our stuff so I'm glad I'm catching it now. Here's a good picture of my boat's racks.

^^Exactly. There is a plastic ball on the end of the bungee and it locks into the notch where the arrows are.

Also what you have there is a wake/ surf rack. The bottom slot holds a wakeboard. The top slot will hold a wakeboard or a surf board.
