I am not sure how to embed the video so there is a link to youtube. You can skip to 1:35 to see it shutoff.

@Robh Thats exactly how I filled my last boat. I could look at the tank and see it fill up but these older Tige's have aluminum gas tanks....no way to see visually when its close to full.

I think it's time to buy one for my boat. Thanks!

I have heard the new EPA fuel cap makes the shower of gas more likely.

I wouldn't be surprised. The latest gas can caps - the ones that require you to use three hands to hold open the valve, hold open the valve's safety, and hold open the valve's safety's backup, while also holding up the weight of the gas can - cause FAR more fuel spillage than the old traditional straight tube gas cans. Good intentions and unintended consequences, y'know.

When I see a garage sale I always stop to check for, and purchase, any of the old style gas cans they have. I've got over a dozen now and will keep buying them. They work, they flow fast(er), they don't spill, and they don't have complex valve mechanisms with lots of little plastic parts just begging to break and render the entire thing worthless.

The EPA filler on new boats is what I was referring to

I know, but it made me think of the EPA valves on portable gas cans.

Check, same problem. More spilled gas from the agency that is supposed to keep it off the ground.

Easy Pour for 8 bucks fixes this problem.

Nice, didn't know anyone made such a product.

I'm actually amazed some environazi hasn't sicced the EPA on them and gotten this product banned.

Sadly, I remember when an entire 5 gallon gas can cost what they're asking for this replacement spout....
