chpthril did you ever put a start button kit together?

Did you ever put a switch kit together for this. I'm looking to do this upgrade some time soon and just looking for a kit or some pointer. Im not sure if I need to add the 20 pin wire to the viper. I dont think I need to. My question is on the switch itself you have 3 wires. I know the red will go to the 2 red off the switch. The black will go to ground but where does the brown (other wire) connect to?

No, I did not. There were a couple concerns/questions about the one lead going to the Medallion box that I could not get a satisfying answer about. Didnt want a customer frying their Medallion control unit.

what is the reason for doing this? if it's strictly stereo related, chp sold me a switch to wire the deck independent of the medallion and I added another puck to the helm. cost around $100 and some time but kept me out of the medallion panel and now the stereo does not shut off or restart whenever you turn the boat on/off.

Its a lot more then the stereo. This allows the tige touch to say on while turning the boat on and off. If you have the ballast running and turn the key off it wont turn the ballast back on. If you have a ballast adjusted and turn the motor off you dont have to re adjust the ballast. It allows the depth and the engine temp gauges to work when the key is off. The stereo doesn't turn off.

Your local Tige dealer should have the kit readily available and installed for around $125-$135.

We had our button installed by the dealer. Main plus is that the bluetooth stays connected and the rider profiles work as the ballast timers don't get confused.

ah. no bluetooth here as I use thumbdrives with downloaded mixes and we spend 95% surfing so it's fill and done.
