    Bazooka Sound System

Does anyone have the Bazooka sound system in his or her boat?
We just purchased a 22v with a factory installed Bazooka system; it includes 6 Bazooka deck speakers, a 10" bazooka sub, wired to a Bazooka amp.

The problem that I have is that the small 6 1/2 deck speakers are coming unattached from the foam surround. I checked on the Bazooka website and the speakers that are factory installed in our boat are not Marine speakers. (Not sure if that matters or not)

I also think that the system is wired wrong (Not sure) but the Sub is bridged to two channels on the amp and from what I can tell all the deck speakers are wired to the other two channels. Which gives almost no control over the sound system.

I also tried to e-mail Bazooka but have not received a response.

I have also purchased 4 Bazooka tower speakers but have not had the time to install them yet, but if they are going to fall apart like the deck speakers, I might just sell them and go with another brand.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Danny

    Danny,
I think we exchanged some emails about tower speakers. Anyway, you get what you pay for, Bazooka products are not very well made and probably will not last very long. I can't comment on the sound because I have never heard them but I would be very suprised if the rider will be able to actually hear the tower speakers.

I thought the factory only used Clarion and Kicker. Never heard of Bazooka being a factory option.
      Let it be!!!

Im sorry but I don't remember the E-mail thing.

The whole system was from the factory it is a 05 22v it has six of these installed in the deck

        Along with this amp

        and this sub

I am just finding hard to believe that as much as these boats cost, and as much money as Tige puts into R&D that this is something that was done on purpose.

And to be honest the system sounds OK I would have not a problem with it at all if the speakers were not falling apart.

          Danny,

That is not the factory system from 05, Tige used kicker and clarion like stated before. It sounds like your dealer may have installed the system or if the boat is used the previous owner did it. I don't know what to tell you. Talk to your dealer I guess.

This is a factory system, I have already taked to the dealer about it.
Although I have not discussed the issues with the speakers falling apart.
They told me that TIGE was testing this system, and I guess it failed.

            The previous owner was TIGE.

By the way do you work for TIGE?

Because after my first post where I stated this was a factory install, you commented that it was not, just wondering how you would know enough about the boat that we own to make that statement.

Sorry about your issues. I made my comment based on the documentation from 2002 till present from TIGE. None of their brochures list a Bazooka sound system.

You did not state how long you have owned the boat. If less than 1 year the speakers should be under warranty if you bought the boat new and truly factory installed.

I would start with your dealer.

              Good Luck

                Danny,

I didn't mean to offend you, I was going by the Tige product catalog where they used kicker and clarion in that year of boat. I would definately go to the dealer and tell him you want the speakers replaced because their quality is less than desirable. Try to have your dealer talk to the factory and tell them that the bazooka speakers are not holding up, maybe you can get some kicker speakers instead. If that doesn't work you could replace them yourself, and if you have to get into that option there are a ton of good speakers out there for pretty little money.

                  Hi Danny,
Your speakers have a warranty, if you have a problem with them you can call me and we will replace them. The Bazooka factory installed your speakers. Yes, you do get what you pay for so if you aren't happy with the Bazooka tower speakers you can always sell them since I sold them to you at my cost, although we have several customers happy with the tower speakers. Also, since your boat was a Test boat you do have a few options other 05's may not have, but you also got a great boat with a nice discount and warranty but just not the top of the line stereo at that price. I'm sure our stereo guy would be happy to upgrade your whole system for a price,or I can sell you Kicker cockpit speakers at my cost. Also, congrats on Mack doing so well at the first INT stop.
                  Thanks,
                  Karen Nelems

                    Danny,

You have a great dealer so that is good. They helped us out with some specs before we bought and we really appreciated it.

All I know is do your research and listen to the speakers if you can. I was at a beach party with 8 other wakeboarding boats and 30-40 other boats. I have NVS tower speakers and well, lets just say that I controlled what was being listened to at that party

Lots of people were envisous of my speakers. And yes you can hear them at 80 feet.

duane at www.nvs.com will help you out. His speakers are the best I have ever heard. I LOVE THEM!!

A second for NVS. I control the listening environment as well. Some people don't like my penchant for going from AC/DC to Nelly, but it keeps things interesting.

I have a pair of the Addictions and they are loud enough for me! I have never heard a pair of 1010's.
