Looking at places to mount a second bilge pump in my 24v.
My main bilge pump is on the starboard side at the transom up against the exhaust. When leaning for surfing port, a lot of water accumulates before the bilge kicks on. Transom port I think will hit the rudder arm (not confirmed just memory)
1) Where do you guys recommend the second bilge? (I have read Duncan's great article on how much bilge capacity you should have, I have 2 tsunami's for emergency situations, I have to use one once when my stock bilge pump cracked).
2) T into what thru hull? I have 5 thru hulls in the rear with 4 of them with vents and drains T'd together (2 drains pumps per sac). I also have a dedicated vent and dedicated drain in the midshipment compartments for my bow ballast. Do you guys recommend T'ing into one of my existing thru hulls? If you T' do you need a check valve? I am not opposed to drilling another dedicated thru hull if thats best.
