    @talltigeguy...
    To answer the pre production question. A few of the boat show boats(not all if Matt saw one that was sold) were boats built just for the shows and are not full production models. The one at our show we were told did not have a stringer system in it. Thats after making the show tour it would be taken back to the factory and destroyed. So no these are not going into a garage, they were boats purposely built for the shows as full production boats wouldn't have been able to make it to every dealer/ show. Inventory ASR's are now leaving the factory and from what we were told are night and day difference to these show boats.

    Also for trivia…the extra thru hull is another vent. So there is one drain and 2 vents for each of the 4 ballast locations. Also now is 2 bilge pumps and each has a thru hull on the back. So that explains the 4 on each side at the back.

      Hmm. Must have gotten a "production" boat since I was told the boat coming to the show was not for sale and would be going back to Tige.

        I was told by the dealership that it was sold and had a "SOLD" sign on it. I didn't see any issues or flaws on the boat, inside or out.

          I don't get it. Someone explain to me why Tige would build all of these "pre-production" ASR's, take them around to the shows and then destroy them afterwords? Do you know how many people would line up to buy that boat at cost/some profit rather than have it ripped apart and destroyed?

            Agree, doesn't make a lick of sense. However, I can say for a fact that is what I was told.

              Also what I was told. It could have something to do with testing and refining the production process. Getting the molds right and things like that. I know Texas Mastercraft posted pictures of a Xstar cut in half that was an early production show boat that could not be sold. So manufacturers do it. Thats just my speculation. But if they are incomplete boats as I was told for liability and insurance reasons I'm sure they wouldn't want to sell them.

                They don't have to sell it to me, they can just let me borrow it, I would be ok with that too!

                    Its no different then factory concept cars, like back in 1995 with GMs EV1 all electric car it was never certified for collision nor had any VIN. they were strickly produced to test the market and then were brought back for study and crushed.

                      Just saw on Tige that there is a APEX and VERTEX paint scheme. On the specs they have a APEX hull and a APEX windshield. No VERTEX hull and VERTEX windshield? Anyone with insider info have any more information on the VERTEX?

                          I know the last couple times I have spoken with Tige reps they have stated there will be a 25ft boat coming out in the apex line. They weren't sure on a reveal date just said it would be in the near future. To me it seems crazy to spend over 100k on a boat as I can only enjoy 3 mo a year but there are several ppl at the lake I go to that have no issue dropping that kinda cash so I'm sure the 25ft will sell also.

                            Wow. I guess that they wanted to have something to show at the boat shows and that makes sense, since you may generate quite a few orders there. Anyone remember the new X25 that MC rushed out to the shows with the new power tower on it? It had a similar situation and there is a youtube video where some guys started shaking the boat and it literally looks like it might fall apart. That boat did not have proper support and was supposed to be for the show. The MC haters got a ton of mileage out of it. Hopefully for Tige, nobody starts shaking an ASR without stringers and tries to say all Tiges are like what you see here on this X25:
