    Minneapolis Boat Show Tiges

We were at the show today and finally got to see the ASR. It is a monster. I was impressed with it. Many cool features. The in floor and walk thru coolers are great. Compartments are huge. Got to meet Tony Fusssel in person. Super nice guy with lots of information. Did confirm that these boat show boats are not production boats, but for the shows like others have said. There were a few things here and there with them, but not the glaring issues some have said they saw at other shows. Overall it looks like a great boat and I think price will tell. I could not believe the prices overall. It was amazing the number of towboats that were priced in the 6 figures.

Nice to see Samson racks repping out East. No better rack made and local to the NW in Camas Wa.

Can't imagine a child trying to sit on the side of those seats falling into the speaker pockets of the asr.

What does that mean? The boats seen so far are not going to be for sale at some dealership for 110K? They will just be sitting in a garage until next year's boat show?
                Be excellent to one another.

There was a comment made on another thread that the ASR still was not in production, they still had some issues to work out. But they wanted to show case the ASR at the shows so they were shipping pre production boats to the shows that would be going back to the factory.

Didn't make sense to me, but who knows what Tige's marketing campaign is for the ASR.

The ASR is huge! The outside of the boat looked nice. The inside... ummm... I don't have anything nice to say.

I was in the first ASR up in Reno last fall and even without the few changes they were making or made, was very impressed. Everyone seems to look for something different as for the fit/function/style of the boats, but this boat really worked for me. The storage was "right" for how we use the boat. The seats and interior were comfortable and functional, again, for how we use the boat. I can't say I would buy one as of now based on price since surfing is our main activity and a Z1/Z3 would be just fine, but if I had the $$ laying around I wouldn't hesitate.

The ASR that I posted in the Dallas Fort Worth boat show topic was already sold.

Okay... I'll provide a few of my hang-ups. These are MY opinions: The upholstery look and quality was poor. The flooring is a good idea (no carpet) but why not go with something like Sea Deck instead of hard rubber?

The surf board storage at the transom was a good idea.

I'm an outsider looking in so... and I'm also very biased.

                              There are other flooring options:
                              Custom Flooring Options
The Tige ASR offers the custom Apex Gator Step flooring, the Poseidon mat or snap-in removable carpet, all backed with mildew-resistant rubber and finished seams for a perfect fit throughout the floor of the boat.
