Sorry about that! The vimeo website has been under attack this weekend by a DDoS bug. (distributed denial of service) They have been working on it and it seems to be getting better.

                  That is fantastic.

We have tried to teach newbies the feeling of getting up by pulling on the rope while they are in the water but to use the edge of the swim platform is brilliant.

We will be doing this for sure this summer.

Not sure how this will work with my 250lb nephew !!!!!!!!!!

Canuck- Ha! that's funny! For heavier people I put one hand in the "V" of the handle and my other hand is on the Pylon. 250 may be past my limit though! For someone heavier, I usually drag them through the water slowly to allow them to get the board under them before I start the "pull". This will allow the board to act as a wing instead of a plow.

When I moved from a stern drive to the 22i eight years ago I realized that you don't have to pull real hard to get someone up.

The speed control that we have in our wakeboard boats makes all the difference in getting newbies up easily.

There just isn't that level of control in stern drives so IMHO even if you add a tower to a stern drive it will still be difficult to get newbies up.

Using the swim platform is a great idea. I always just sat on the swim platform and pulled rope with my hand and put my foot on the board and pulled rope and pushed board to simulate starting so they get the idea. I will def. try this technique this coming summer.

I spent last summer teaching my 6 year old how to wakeboard. This would have been a great trick to use. Will definitely try it with his friends this next summer. Thanks for sharing.
