    Bow Filler Cushion

    I have a 2002 20V and it appears there is a "lip" in the bow that would support a "filler" cushion that i've seen on other/newer boats. We have little ones routinely riding in the bow so the possibility of expanding the seating and allowing for some storage underneath is intriguing. Before i work with a vinyl shop to fabricate something custom, is there anywhere to purchase one? If not, if any members have suggestions on how to DIY (aside from the actual vinyl wrapping), please let me know.

    On a separate, but related note - i have two cushions that are tearing at the seams due to passengers not following the rules. Had a quote to rewrap 1 cushion for $400. It was one of the rear corner cusions ("L" shaped). Seemed high... am I just being cheap?

    yep that lip is for a bow filler. pretty basic shape goes there.. rectangular with half round on the front end. your going to have to have one made or build it yourself. pm me... and I can give you the 411 to make it yourself. send me a pic or post one of that cushion.. curious to see what it would entail before I say if that is high or not for it.. vinyl is relatively cheap ... the time to take apart - sew - put back together is what your paying for mostly. an entire 20v boat in material cost me less then 900 bucks. that is staples, vinyl, pipe, thread, spray glue you name it. but if am to do one.. that will be like 4k. I have seen people charge 1200 for 3 cushions and people not blink... to me that is steep, but then again its not main lively hood.

      ^^What gcombe said. Those are custom cushions and there aren't going to be any laying around for a 02. Upholstery is one of the most expensive things in your boat. If its a large cushion and a more expensive vinyl $400 probably isn't out of line. A good Upholstery place should be able to make you a filler know problem.

          I had one made for my 06 24v and it was 325.00. They made it with cutouts for the forward cup holders. My corner cushions were quoted at 375.00.
