Kicker Sub please help !!!!!!

I did a search but really didn't find what I was looking for. I'm in the process of putting a kicker 10" L7 in my 22v but am having trouble finding a good way to mount it. It's in a ported box so I put it in the passenger compartment but as soon as the doors shut it muffles it pretty bad. has anyone mounted a L7 in their boat where is it and what was the box that was used any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a 10" Kicker but it is round(not the L7) it was mounted by the factory under the steering wheel in the front of that storage area. There is a control under the dash for the driver to adjust.(great if you have kids so you can over ride them). There is no box it is mounted to compartment wall, but if volume is up it will vibrate the storage door. Hope this helps.

I was wondering also if anyone has put a sub in the passenger compartment and ported the box out in the walkway i've seen a Malibu like that was wondering if you could do it for the Tige without any issues?
