      Hi Everyone,

I am the new West Coast Rep for Tige. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the reunion, but it looks like you all had a blast. Jean had some great things to say when she made it back to Texas. I will definitely try to make it out next year.

I will be making my way out to Sacramento October 10-12 with a 2015 Z3. I will stop by Offshore on my way out or on my way back. There isn't a plan, but if there is interest, maybe we can get some of you out on this boat! I know you can't wait to see what we have to offer for 2015. I will be in touch with Shane, John, and Ken to see what we can do.

In the meantime, if you need anything or have any questions, feel free to PM me or email me at chase@tige.com.

      Regards,

      Chase

Just got back in from a trip to Lake Powell on a house boat. An extended vacation on the water. Going through the last few pages of posts it is evedent that all had fun. And there is one thing in common to all the pictures...

Everyone is smiling and have a great time.

When I was asked where I came in from I would say Oklahoma. The return comment was that is far so why did you come? My response was to have fun in the sun, to chill with my past Tige owner friends, and to meet new ones. I did all that and had a great time. thanks again to all those who's boat and boards I rode on. Love learning new tips and also helping those that need a little coaching. Hope to see you guys next year.

Will this be the same Tige pulling the Wake9 Polar Bear?

Special thanks to H2osk8ter for towing us in Sunday morning. 48 gallons of gas does not go as far as it used to. Vessel Assist is great on HAVASU, but When I called them their nearest boat was on lake mohave.. :0.. I am in for more days next year.
Hell yeah Mr. Jim! No problemo... That is what we do! Plus I was towed in our first night there... we weren't quite as lucky as you but the point was we made it back safely.

So... where to start with this trip... Holy $hit did Brad and I run into some problems... but thank god to the friends I have met here and the good Karma I may have created in the past.. we turned what most people would call an awful trip into an amazing adventure.
As with the 2013 meet up... My Air Force buddy Brad and I came up a few days early and left a few days later than everyone. This allows us to work the kinks out of the boat and just really get as much time as we want out on the water (weather permitting). It is such a long drive that I need 5 full days out there just to get my money's worth.

Here is the play by play for our uneventful turned eventful Tigé Owners Reunion trip…

                        17 Sep 2014-

So day one we arrived and the water was perfect. We towed my old hog out with my even older hog (1992 Ford Bronco; EB 5.8w) and somehow made it (mind you I just rebuilt the transmission with a family friend the couple days before). We were going 40mph up some hills and burning some oil... but we made it. We decided to launch the boat that day and check the water out... After about 30 minutes of cruising and the boat running great... We grabbed a board and went to town with just the two of us... we just did some donuts and surfed as carefully as we could. Well after Brad finished I decided I wanted to cruise back because it was getting late. On our way back I smelled a burning smell... saw the temp a little high.. so I cut the engine of course. We lifted the hatch and sure enough the belt had stopped spinning freely as if the water pump pulley had chewed through an impeller. Upon further review, one of the blue drain plugs off the manifold had shot out of its threading and HOT *** water was shooting in the boat. I had 10% battery on my phone and had to call my insurance company for a tow. There was no tow company in the area so a 'Search and Rescue' mission was initiated after sending the dispatcher a screen shot of my coordinates for them to find us. 3 hours later we were rescued, after hours of Brad and I working against the wind to paddle and swim the boat towards Temple Bar. We got the boat out of the water and started wrenching right away. Pulled the impeller and it was perfectly fine... But we replaced with my standby impeller anyway. Luckily I had some more drain plug screws so I grabbed one of those and put that bad boy where it belonged. Couple more beers and then bed time to try again tomorrow.

                        18 Sep 2014-

We get up Thursday and patch up anything we might had missed the night before and headed to the Ice Vending building to utilize a hose for a trailer run. Plug it all in and everything looks good to go! Placed it back in the water and head out... We drive for 30 minutes opening the hatch and keeping an eye on that one plug and it seems solid... All of a sudden Brad notices water shooting out of the hatch...Sure enough in the 35 minutes we were out there we had taken on so much water that the bottom pulleys were sitting in it. Luckily we saw D&P out there and he hooked us up with a tsunami pump and we got rid of the water... We got the water out and put the boat back on the trailer. This time I am baffled... I called John (Bad05) and he is trying to hook me up with information. He puts me into contact with Randy from Offshore Marine and then I start getting texts from Core Weber (BoatWakes)... long story short I think I may have found the problem... The PSS Shaft seal coupling (not sure if I am using the right terminology) had somehow moved enough to allow water in when the boat was under heavy load. I did as Corey (BoatWakes) once told Steve (Stingreye) had told me to do and take out the four set screws... push it back to the bell housing until it touched..then pushed it another 1/4 inch and re-set the 4 set screws... With all my hope and luck riding on this last minute fix.. It was late enough that I decided to wait until the next day to try again...

                        19 Sep 2014-

Day one of the official meet up. We get up and check everything.. looks like we are good to go.. (The GFs arrived late the night before so we are really hoping that the issue is fixed) Without hesitation Brad and I take the boat out with just us to test the latest fix. After a few Tigé prayers and some easy driving... we finally found the solution... It ended up holding the rest of the trip. Brad and I stayed until the following Tuesday!

                        20 Sep 2014-

Tige Reunion commences... me and the lady got to ride with the pro.. Had great giveaways and tons of cool people. Jean even came up to my boat with T&A to tell me who she was and that I had really dialed in my boat wake! I laughed because we had just put ballast in it for the first time thanks to TheBlackWidow! She totally made my day... And special thanks to Cheryl, Will, and Jack for the use of the board and the sacks, and the pump! I now I have a better idea of what I am going to do to my boat! Thanks John too for putting on the best giveaway ever! Hope I can help more this year and that we can include others as well... It really is as simple as getting on the horn or shooting some e-mails out and being personable. Tigé boats are a lifestyle! I live it and love it.. even with my unfortunate events... I will always come back for more.

                        21 Sep 2014-

Slow start on this day.. We finally got out on the water to do our thing and before we can meet up with TheBlackWidow...here comes Jim's son waving his Red Tigé Owners shirt made by Larry (TallTigéGuy). I knew we would had better help because that is what we do. We head down to pick up Jim and tow back for what seemed like an hour. Once we got back we went and did our thing... Had a blast. Jim- I am glad that it was just gas! We made it back on fumes ourselves.

                        22 Sep 2014-

So this day sort of starts ironically... I tell everyone in the boat that we may not make it to the gas dock even...we laugh it off and then (Motor Coughs) "BOOM"... backfire.. I kill the motor... get the paddle out AGAIN and we get some gas and roll out... This had to have been the best water the whole time we were there...and I know people had some great water.. but damn was it nice.. this was at Noon and there wasn't even a ripple (pictures to come). So we tore it up a little bit... and floated a lot and listened to some tunes.

                        23 Sep 2014-

Time to head home.. We had everything packed and ready to go.. All we had to do was get in the truck and go... We pulled out from Temple Bar at about 0700 hrs... My gas gauge had always been funny in my truck, but somehow I had less fuel that I had thought. We made it to 2 miles from the Dam when my truck did what my boat did and backfired then stalled. we pulled to the safest spot we could with our down grade momentum. I swore it couldn't be gasoline. Turned out the battery had gone completely dead as well. So Brad and I rip the batteries out of the boat.. One of those was dead too.. FML.. we got a battery in there and tried to start it and got nowhere. Had to call a couple different insurance companies and one came for the boat and one for the truck... towed it to Boulder and had the shop check it out.... turned out to be the battery... and no GAS! We finally got back on the road at 1500 hrs (3 pm) only to stop in Baker and see that the truck was pouring radiator fluid out... We were still 2 hours out! I decided to top off the radiator and push it... End note- WE MADE IT BACK TO EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE at about 1900 hrs (7 pm)!!!!!

I hope that everyone knows how appreciative I am to have you all in my life and that even if the Air Force brings me away from being able to get my boat out there... I will make every attempt to be there.

I will be posting A LOT of pictures.. I finally got some from Brad's old lady and am going to try and do that this weekend! Sorry for the long read but I feel like I had to let the people of this website and the people who go to the Reunion know what I endured to make this trip a successful one!

My apologies for any typos.. I'm no John Grisham by any means. Just your average Joe...with a Tigé... which I think might put me a little above average in my book... ROCK ON TIGÉ OWNERS!!!!

                        Road Dawg Out!

These were just on the phone.. Might I add that I had to buy a new phone when I got home because mine suffered a water injury... Oh well. I lived! More to follow!
