Last year was so much fun, I will definitely help this time. Have we picked a date or location yet?

i think a combined effort will be a great approach and will start by tossing out a few conversation points:

          - Location ? I think temple worked out fairly well and with Echo closing and too much exposure at Hemminway or Callville, it seems to be the best bet again for this year.
          - Date ?
          - Organization ? By this I mean do we want to move the drawing and thank you to dinner time allowing for more time on the water without interruption? I know this has been tossed around in the past but we always default back to lunch. I think this would be a good idea personally!
          - Pro Riders !!! The more feedback Tige receives on this event the more chances we will have to get a sponsored rider. Last year I talked to Dom, Chase, Ashley, Eric and a few others while in Reno with regards to this years Lake Mead Reunion....despite Ashley's departure, there are still lots of great riders we could pull for....none as attractive though!
          - Local support from Offshore Marine..... I know Rick (Owner) and Shane (GM) will be part of the event again this year, but please do your share and support them in return. Service, product, referrals, a like on Facebook.....anything you can do to help the local dealer will help our event!
          - Donations !! Reach out to anyone and everyone you know for donations. Dave helped last year and will again this year, but the more swag the better....I know I like getting free stuff!

Please add to this list of action items, take a few on yourself and let's get the party started!

Back to the mussel scene, it will be interesting how much longer Lake Powell keeps up the charade that they do not have them...they have only found a couple hundred so far, and divers are regularly scouring the docks to remove them.
That MUST HAVE been Tim Adams, my Snap-On guy, right? I'll ask about that when I see him tomorrow.... Not surprised at all though!

Old West Marine does all of the maintenance on our houseboat @ Powell. They sent out an email to us a couple of months ago, and said that they pulled out six house boats in December. Five of them had no mussels at all on them, the sixth one had over 1600 mussels attached to it. So much for the charade.....

Sorry for getting this off topic again!!

Bad05, I will be the first to offer my 2 cents -
Location: Temple was awesome. No one could have predicted the wind day, but even with it I think we all enjoyed hanging out on the beach.
Date: Any weekend in Sept, but the sooner we book it, the better I'm sure it will be for everyone (vacation requests, hotel bookings, etc)
Organization: A dinner sounds great, and I agree the daytime would be better spent on the water.
Pro Riders !!! Dom and Chase were awesome last year, teaching my son and I how to surf for the first time and being patient with us between their rides. It would be great if they returned.
Local support from Offshore Marine: Annual Service scheduled in 2 weeks. Driving out of my way to do it, but Shane (GM) deserves the support after all his help with last years event. I know, I could do it myself, but with a $250 gift cert... WHY?
Donations: Just need the updated letter John, and I'm on it. Again, the sooner we reach out, the better.

Lastly, my recommendation: John has a new "rugrat" in the family, his time will be limited - so the more we all pitch in for this event, the better off it will be. He did a ton of work last year, lets try to take some of that off his plate this year. Again, just my recommendations.

I agree with picking the date sooner for planning reasons. A lot of people mentioned 9/20, should we move forward with that date? Who do we need to confirm with to make it happen?

                    Yes, Tim the tool guy

Any week we vote for will have some sort of conflict for someone, but group vote seems to be the best idea. The only critical members are the dealer and hopefully a pro rider of some sort from Tige.

I would be happy to tackle the T-shirts if we settle on the 20th. I may have commitments the weekend before and after...September is going to be busy.
                    Be excellent to one another.

I have no preference so I won't influence the date but sooner a date chosen the better it is for making travel arrangements ts

                      Thanks

Great to see this thread with some activity!! Sounds like there are enough votes for the 20th with no issues so far.....I vote for the 20th as well. T-Shirts have officially been assigned to Larry, thanks for taking that on!! Let me know if you need any help with the design (not sure if you remember that Janna is a Graphic Designer, Vim Designs) or want the previous "Las Vegas" themed graphic. Offshore has a new employee, Mark, that will be assisting with the planning of the event, I'll be getting with him and Shane soon but they are onboard for sure! Is it Sept. yet?
