Be careful of the bag. It is a vinyl material and if you drag the bag across the vinyl of the boat, then it stains your vinyl with a nice streak of whatever color the bag is. It took me many months of wondering how I got mysterious red streaks on my vinyl to figure it out. Once I put the red bag in the garage and just stored the anchor without it, my red streaks stopped appearing. And even magic erasers did not remove them. I think the friction between the two just tattoos the vinyl in a bad way.
But I agree, the box anchor always holds. My only failure was when the wind was blowing 35 MPH and I threw it down to a flat sandstone bottom. No anchor would have held me there, unless it weighed 80 pounds or more.Be excellent to one another.
