For me being selfish I'd rather see them. But from a business standpoint(and ultimately our resale value) I'd rather they got it right before letting it loose to the general public. People who see the poor quality of those boats at the show will never forget it and never stop posting it all over the internet forums. No way the dealers are telling people, don't worry about the quality these are just "fake demo Boat show boats". "We will make you a way better one then the one we are using to try and get you to spend 125K". That may be the truth but they sure aren't going to be telling people that. It has me pretty curious that they are telling people that. Curious I put a call into my dealer to see if they are being told that.

Like I said, I want Tige to be successful. In my opinion the above approach doesn't make sense. I would guess that more people will see a Tige boat at the boat shows than at the dealerships this year. On top of that how many of those people will own competitor boats? To me this is where I would want to take my newest/best show pony to show it off and not the cull. Sometime the truth hurts but that doesn't mean it is wrong. This boat was rolled out in October and if you don't have this caliber of a boat ready by now then YES I would not take a second rate boat as my show piece. Especially after the roll out of the Z3 and the Convex VX.

I know the new Xstar they would not even let you in it when they release it at the show. And from the distance I could tell why it was not done. Who knows. I know when I look at all the other boats Rz2 and z3 and Z1s my dealer has on the show room look killer. They have a all white Z1 that the gel coat looks BOMB look as good as a 10k paint job with 10 coats of clear coat. I guess we will know for sure when they get there production boats in. But I bet it will look as good or better. I don't see them dropping the ball on there flag ship boat.

Main reason I believe there just Show demo boats is because I asked if we could take it out and demo it up here and they said sure when we get the our boat in.. I wanna see how the 555 does up here at altitude!

I agree that ALL manufactures have issues. However, we all know that outside of this forum the "big" three get a free pass where Tige doesn't (insert link to WW here).

Haha this is true. Them other big three also charge way to much for a boat!

So now that the ASR is at your boat show have you looked at the price between it and the G23 with comparible options? If so what is the difference?

On a side note, I had a hard time justifying what I payed for our used RZ2 and the funny thing is I could buy two of them for the price of one of these Super Wake Boats. I can guarantee I would not have twice the fun.

Kudos to anyone that can throw down that kind of green because they are BALLERS and got way more DOLLARS than my wife and I have. I keep trying with the Power Ball tickets though.

Wicked I'd be curious to see what the market and location will be on the ASR at the show and the difference between the G. You can PM me if you want I have seen a build form and the MSRP as well as "supposed" invoice amount on the ASR.

Will do. I really wish the loaded boat was more at 110k that would make so much sense to me!

I also agree... I think the price of the Z3 and the ASR are both north of what they should be/the desired market. I understand the market the ASR is going after and I love that they are trying to get into this market (wakeboard specific boat) however the competition they are going after the Star and G23 are yes expensive boats BUT I think they are well within their price for the quality provided. However all the manufactures have their issues I get that and totally understand it working in the field but I think there is room for improvement. I hope the ASR works out and I hope they end up dropping the price more to within a reasonable number. Guess we'll see

I dunno I think the mastercraft and G23 are stupid priced as well. I mean if you sit down and do figures the money the pocket is insane.. If they price things at a point where they make more sense they would sell ALOT more and quanity will bring some profit if not more. I talk to alot of people that are into boating and such and they ask what my RZ2 cost and I tell them and they are like OMG thats stupid money Id never spend that! But Out of the big three Malibu and Tige have the most sensible pricing. If it was my company I would bring prices down a tad and sell more boats. I would hate to see the ASR not dominate the market due to its price tag. I think if it was affordable a lot of people would buy it and drive G boat sales WAY down.. Then whos one top? Thats right Tige =)

                          Very well said wicked.

Price vs value is a very important decision in most peoples thought. Bring the price down and Tige would sell more boats. IMHO. We all know how stupid the cost of any wakeboard boat is however we all still purchase them and enjoy them when we finally get there.
