Anyone have or know where I can acquire a real manual for a Tige 24ve?

Anyone have or know where I can acquire a real manual for a Tige 24ve?

Manual that comes with the boat is so generic it could be used by Bayliner, Chaparral and a few others.

Anyone know where I can buy a manual specific to my 66,000 dollar boat?

Yes I downloaded the manuals provided by the manufacturer PDFs for the Faria gauges.

But does Tige offer one for my boat or GM Vortec 6L ?

    Wake Havasu.

I know Tige is in the process of updating there manuals. As soon as they are done I will update the downloads section.

As far as the GM manual, I am not sure hopefully someone on here will know.

      Thanks Matt.

I look forward to getting a hold of some real info on my boat.

I keep my boat 260 Miles one way from the Tige Dealer in Corona.

      I need a manual.

Agreed, we just took delivery on a 24ve and the manual looks like what they used 10 years ago. My god, you can't even find info on the new tige speed set anywhere in the material that we got. We had some questions after the dealer left, we didn't want to call him because he was on another delivery so we thought we would look it up......yeah right.

As far as the engine is concerned people have been asking for a good manual as far back as 2004 (see section on maintenance) with suggestion by that one is being worked on. I have not seen a good one but maybe I'm wrong. I too have asked for one for a 2005 24v with a MP engine. I still do not have a real good manual at least nothing even close like the one put out by PCM or Indmar. Take a look at theirs. You may want to download them and use them for reference as much as you can.

I agree, the manual for my 20V is stupid, five pages of basic boating safety and useless crap, I bought a toaster with a more informative manual

              So is the manual ready?

Proper manuals would be nice but are you going to go for the training in order to be able to use them correctly , and are you going to invest in all of the test equipment needed for repair? Dom @ Fortes Inboard Connection.

I don't know about special training or test equipment for using a boat manual but there are thousands of manuals out there for vehicles from Haynes and Chilton for the DYI crowd. It seems to me they could do one for a boat.
It's not that most people don't have the knowledge to work on thier own stuff it's that there needs to be something that explains the proper way to take stuff apart and put it back together to make it easier to maintain your own equipment.

NO kidding.....I have factory manuals for all my vehicles, and it isn't rocket science to work on boats or cars. I think people know their limits, and a manual just gives detailed information so you can analyze the job beforehand, and reference it during.

Dont miss understand Im not saying you shouldnt have a manual but while your engines are under warranttee I as manufacturer would not want just anybody not trained to know what they are working on to do maintenace that could cause other issues that you would expect to be covered under that warranttee.Dom@Fortes Inboard

No argument there. If I had a warrenty I would most certainly have my dealer work on my equipment. But for those of us with boats out of warrenty it would be nice to have something to use a reference material so we don't make a mistake. I would rather not pay someone $85-$100 hour to change my oil or change an impeller.
Also I had bought a book for my corvette that details weekend projects that you can do, this would be excellent for a boat owner. Stuff like installing a wakeboard tower, installing a stereo system, installing perfect pass etc.

In Venice beach I bought my kid a 350.00 pocket bike.

Its manual makes the Tige manual look like a child put it together.

A manual is a great reference tool.

Has anyone seen manual for the new RZ2?

I wasn't aware that it took any special training outside of hooked on phonics (or a 1st grade reading level) to use an owner's manual.

Really! You'd think that for the kind of money we spend on these boats you'd be able to get an owners manual that tells you where:

                              1. All your fuses and breakers are.
                              2. Specs on the 3rd party equipment installed on your boat
                              3. Troubleshooting section (all they'd have to do is read this forum) for most common problems
                              4. List of engine fault codes (requires digital fault code display on multi-function display which I'm going to add to the wish list for options).

Obviously, you don't need a service manual for all parts of the boat, but it sure would be nice to know a bit more about how some of the equipment works so when you have a problem you know how to work around it or how to do the quick fix.
