My day job is running a software development team. We build software for the army. Whenever we add features I price them out in Honda civics. It helps keep perspective for the customer when you realize that fancy new widget could have gotten you 2.5 Honda civics.

Seems that for boats, it is definitely a cheaper to keep kind of situation as well. I would love a new $100K boat but I would like a cabin to run my perfectly fun paid for 98 2200v more.

My first house was 30000. My second house we built for 54000 and my current and third house we built for 110000. Things go up. I paid more for my Motorhome than i did for all three houses.Compared to other boats in it's class the ASR is reasonably priced.

Heck, I bought both my RZ2 and my Duramax brand new in '07/'08 and just barely cracked the 6 figure territory. Guess that was a long time ago though.
