I've had a few PM's asking for the dimensions we used on our custom bimini surf pockets. I was going to add this to the existing thread on this topic, but I must be search challenged today because I cannot find the original thread anywhere, even with all sorts of search terms. Weird.
Anyway, here is the bimini laid out with dimensions superimposed. Total cost including materials and labor at Jacob's Upholstery in Spokane was ~$180. They had the stretchy netting and the bias tape (edging), while I separately obtained the unbacked neoprene for the friction pads.
Remember, these dimensions were determined by providing the upholstery shop with our surfboards and picking what fit properly. We have since purchased a new surfboard and it fit perfectly. Using stretchy netting and elastic in the open end makes it work well with different sizes, but your boards might need different dimensions.
I sized the image a bit larger than usual so you can better see some of the details.
Hope this helps some folks - this is one of the best mods we've done to the boat.
