Did they mention anything else that the demo boat didn't have that the production boat would have? I'm surprised that they even wanted to take a potential customer out on a boat that wasn't up to the production design.

Which motor was in the boat you drove? How was the power, and what the ballast setup like? How long did it take to fill ballast to 100%?

The fact is that the boat doesn't actually exist yet, right? Other than that one hand built demo boat?

In all reality, if your in the market for an ASR, the two boats that are in that specific market are the ASR and the G. Arguing over the wakeboards wake's is really absurd because lets face it, the wakes are going to be so close it's negligible.

All in all, Tige has released an extremely small amount of pictures and video in relation to the surf wake for the ASR. Hell, it's been limited wakeboard wise as well. You gotta think this is purposeful.... they don't have the surf wake dialed yet. The G has the advantage of the NSS system and we all know Tige is not going to develop a gate system so my guess would be that Tige believes the VX will accomplish what they want. The boat will then give the G a direct run for their money in both categories....... wake and surf. Additionally, you have to think.... a VX added to the build sheet is gonna add 3-5 grand probably.

If you guys remember Nick from WWS posted up some video he took while down in Abilene while surfing the ASR. From what I saw in the video the wave looked WAY surfable but seemed like it could be a lot better. If I remember correctly there wasn't a lot of time to play with weighting but I would say the wave was comparable to what my RZR will do. For a weekend warrior like myself that gets out on my boat and my buddies mastercraft one day each boat every week.... the waves are great. However, for somebody who can rip on a surfboard and is gonna drop 100k plus on a boat that thing better be every bit as good as the best boats in Tige's lineup and the G.

I'll end this with saying that as time goes on.... technology and innovation always drive the market. Just like the apple references we've heard here. The boat will need to have great wake and surf waves to compete in the current landscape of the boat game. There will always be hard core skiers/foilers etc etc but today the best wakeboard and surfwave in one is what people want. Tige has always prided itself on being the price point boat and I hope they don't get away from that. I know they gotta make money but I've always understood Tige to be the boat manufacturer to say "our boats do everything everyone else's boats do well, but at a reasonable price." Tige's not perfect by any means but I hope they stick to what they believe in. I think the ASR could be the direct competitor to the G at a way lower price.... question is.... does Tige want to do that?

PLUS.... in Denver that big ole boat is going to need the 555. :-)

Yeah I could've said that better. A for sale to the public production boat hasn't been released into the wild yet.

im not sure i still fallow because tige only builds a boat (except a few for factory demo's) that has been ordered by a dealer. So im guessing these boats are on there way to a dealers' lot and some may even be already spec'd for a customer.

I believe a few have been delivered. WWS in Denver gets their first one this week and they are having a launch party next Friday night.

I knew it was a demo boat didnt care about that. I wanted to truely see if I was buying a asr or rz2 with the 555.. My only bitch with my RZ2 is 409 is not enough and the boat is was too sensitive to weight. There is a lot of things the demo boat didnt have. The boats that have been shipped out dont either. I was told the update stuff would be mailed out and then fitted to the boat. One being brackets for a rear seat that flips around and the other being a foot booster for the driver. A 4 inch raising pedalstool. There was a few others like software update for TT thats not ready yet.. But its a great looking boat and its a BIG MOTHER EFFER.... Would hate to see anything other than a diesel pulling it.. made the Ford pulling it look tiney

My dealer has one in production that will be on their next load with my new boat. They are in production as far as I know. They are expected to have that boat easily by boat show time mid January.

If you put a Chevy 2500 gas and a Ford F250 Gas truck next to a Ram 2500 Diesel i doubt you could see much Physical difference if they were all the same bed length and body styles.LOL
