    Stress cracks

Hey everyone again. Well boats been great since the engine problem. Still havent heard the reason why it broke, but I guess everyone is clueless. Well im out wakeboarding today and when I was putting one of the boards back on the rack I saw all these stress cracks around the tower. My boat only has 26 hours on it. Now how does this have stress cracks? Ive been rising behind it for almost 15 hours now. Is this fixable and if not what do I do. Im starting to get bummed out with my boat about these problems with just 26 hours on the boat. If anyone has any info I appreciate it. Ill post pics up this week. thanks in advance!

BTW this is a 2005 Switch I with the new 2006 tower on it.

Gel coat cracks are covered by warranty for the first year I beleive.

I would make sure that the tower mount is tight, if it is loose, it will cause the cracks.
    Be excellent to one another.

the good news is stress cracks are only cosmetic and can be fixed. You'll never be able to tell they were there.

Talk to your dealer and see if they'll schedule a fix after the season is over.

Mine were under a pop-up cleat and were covered under warranty. Or maybe Lee just paid for it out of his own pocket : )

I had Stress cracks on my 2002 20V at the rear tower mount. It was not covered under warranty since it was a dealer installed tower. They were not bad. I had tightened the tower when it was down, when I was raising the tower I heard the gelcoat crack. guess the stress points are different when the tower is down than up. So beware when you tighten the tower, I only tighten the tower now when it is up. No problems on my 2005.
        Let it be!!!
