Is Adlee Boat Covers (Corona, CA) out of business?

I was going to see if they could add a few surf pockets to my existing bimini.
Their website doesn't exist and just wondered if they are still kicking? anyone know?

I was there a year ago to replace a plastic end piece. They were open then, and the gentleman was more than helpful.

I just called and got an answering machine that said they should have been open 45 minutes ago. So that's somewhat promising.
I'll try a little later this afternoon.

They are in business, but didn't want anything to do with adding a surf pocket to the top of a bimini.

That's really odd. It seems that it would have been easy money for them????

Was the original Bimini fabricated by this shop? Doesn't seem like it would be too tough a thing to do.

There are a couple of shops that I would recommend up here in the SF Bay Area. You would think So Cal would have dozens of competent shops.

My bimini, as well as every other boat in so cal was made by Adlee. I thought it was a slam dunk too. They have been doing boat canvas for decades. They used Sunbrella material back in the day, not sure about now? They said they don't recommend anything be placed on the bimini. So it's probably more about the weight on the bimini rather than the material?
I guess I will have to find another shop?

I asked them to do mine as well. I had the Tige factory bimini on an RZ2, and I sent them some pics of the mods others had done on the same bimini. They said no to me as well. From what I can remember, it was something about not wanting to mess with the integrity/strength of the bimini. I don't think it had to do with weight -- it was more an issue of possibly weakening the existing fabric or stiches. It wasn't a long conversation, but that was the impression I got.

If you don't find someone down in SoCal, you can always ping Tower Biminis and ship it to them.

Jane Adlee is still in business until dec 18th, when they close escrow and move out to havasu to continue business out there

They are probably worried about the bimmini frame holding up to the stress of the extra weight I don't think it a concern about the fabric but bouncing surf or wakeboards up there may cause issues with the frame bending or plastic fittings break.

Let me know if you find a place in so cal that will do it. I have that on my list of projects to complete before summer.
