best way to weight a 2004 tige 22v limited for wakesurfing on a budget??

I just bought a 2004 tige 22v limited. I have been serching the forums, but having trouble finding the best way to weight the o4 tige for wakesurfing.
The boat seems to have a good wave with no weight in it. I'm on a budget, and looking for the best way to add ballast to the boat. also best places to put the ballast. Is there systems where you don't have to drill holes in the boat. I really don't want to drill holes all over the boat if I don't have to. Thanks

You can always just throw some fat sacs in the seats or floor and fill with a pump. Throw the pump over the side for filling/draining. However, you do that a couple times and you will be wanting to have an automated system.....at least I did!!

There are a few threads in the forum with great weight setups for the 22v's. Topazsurfer has a great write up for the 22v boat.

Will you be wanting to surf both sides?

You can easily manually fill a couple of ballast sacs with a pump that you toss over the side. But, most people grow tired of it after a single season and are ready to drill holes and plumb in an automated ballast system. A sac and pump can be had for just north or $300. The goods need to plumb in a sac can run as high as $375 per sac.

Take a look at this thread about Polar Bear 2013.

            http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...ighlight=polar

One of the boats was a heavily weighted 2003 22V that throws a killer surf wave. I don't know anything more about it than what was written in that thread, but I'm sure others on here know how Dave weighted his boat.

So you bought the 22V you posted about? Congratulations!!! Post up some pics. I was on Dave's boat for the goofy side at Polar Bear. It rocked!

              Here is his ballast install:

He is running more weight in the bow I think than it says in the thread.

Also, drilling holes is pretty easy. It sounds scary but its actually one of the easiest parts of the process. You will find most on here that drill holes will also use emergency shutoff valves. Heck, your raw water supply doesn't even have a shutoff if you get a leak there.

Congrats on the boat you will have lots of fun surfing it. There are many ways you can go but like other have said you will want to automate it at some point. For starting out on a budget try getting as much weight as you can on surf side rear non surf side rear empty and then some weight in the bow. Custom bags like mine will give you the most weight but hit up chpthril and he can get you started with sacs that will fit as is. I like my reversible pumps for simplicity.

You need to get together with Chpthril. He can set you up with whatever you need. As you start to use this site you will find Chpthril is the man of knowledge. Lots of us have built our ballast using Chpthril.
