Polar Bear Wakesurf Video and Reviews

We only have 2 riders we are waiting for, we should have all of the reviews up in a coupla days, the cats are mostly herded. ;-)

In the meantime, check out this video. This is unique because RJ or I didn't do it. One of the riders edits for a living and asked if he could take a crack at it. It took a bit longer because I had to catalog and package all of the video send to canada. I gave him very little direction. I said I wanted the first video to be 2-3 mins, feature each boat equally, be high energy and give people a feel what it would be like to be at the event. I think he nailed it.

Watch in HD for best viewing.

I believe Ashley is looking for a new boat.

Yeah, I'd say he nailed it. Gotta love just about any video that lays down some Beastie Boys.

After watching this video 4 times, I've determined my decision to purchase a Z3 with the Convex VX was the right decision. Ragboy had by far the best wave, at least IMHO

One of the things that was also great about it, was many people were commenting about how great the boat has held up after 1000 hours. There is one small tear in the upholstery that happened at an event. It really is in great shape, and its been rode hard and put away wet.

All of the wakes were excellent this year.

You were at the event or making you decision based on the video's? I rode all the waves and they were all great. Each boat had pros and cons there would be no bad choice out of any of them.

Great vid.. wish I could have gone this year. I would have loved to ride the mb/'bu and snoop around that 22v for the ballast setup.

biggest disappointment was not seeing pavati back. I really thought Chuck would take the notes and make some improvements on that boat. so much potential there and what a great venue for r&d testing
                      2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17
                      2014 Z3.. Surf away

Me too and couldn't agree more. I had my favorites and least favorites, but all were pretty darn good in the big scheme of things.

Attendance also confirmed that I made the right choice on my boat... and I don't own a Z3. You know what tho... it is REALLY hard to draw conclusions from a 15-20 minute set, and I probably liked "my" boat the best because it felt the closest to home. All the waves were so good that the distinctions between waves and boats are made at the extreme margins. None of the waves came remotely close to what any reasonable person would consider sucky, and it's impossible for me to say that ANY of the boats was BY FAR the best. Sure I had my favorites and least favorites, but I'd gladly spend a summer's worth of sets behind my least favorite.

My opinion was based on the videos. My buying decision was made back in August. I actually took delivery of my Z3 prior to this event, so it had no influence on my buying decision. However, being able to view all the various Wake9 videos did influence my buying decision. I wasn't knocking any of the wakes, just expressing my opinion. That and $2 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.....well, a small cup of coffee :-)

Did not include people weight. The MB had over 4,000 lbs and was a blast.
