I have no idea what engine the gas powered 2012 ford f-250's had in them, but I witnessed an engine fail in my friends. I was standing outside his window talking to him and the engine started clanking really hard and died. It only had around 15,000 miles on it if memory serves correctly. They had to put a brand new engine in it. Engine locked up due to some kind of rod or arm breaking inside.

You will see GM make a push to get rid of the 5.0, and 5.7L in the next 2 years for marine applications. They will supply the 6.0l for quite sometime. But I could see the 409hp based 6.0l disapear sooner then the ZR450.

Wow, all of this because of an engine brand swap?
I have driven Chevy trucks for about 30 years and I was always anti Ford. I have no idea why I was anti Ford, other than the fact that I drove a Chevy. Now, after the bailout, I’m a diehard Ford fan. I now own four Fords, and one of them is an Explorer with a 6cyl EB (great motor!).
To make a blanket statement that future Tiges will not be worth as much because they have a Ford motor (or anything other than a GM motor) in them is absurd.
This is the favorite of my Fords.

I will own chevy dodge toyota nissan BUT NEVER A FORD.. $hits garbage! Another upset by Tige if this is the route they are going.. Id rather see a 5.7 hemi or 6.4 hemi option as they Are as reliable as GMs 5.7 and 6.0.. Crazy crazy crazy...
There is a bright side tho guys.. Ford coming into new boats will Drive the Value up on our old boats with Real reliably engines in them! GMs part interchange is goes back and back and back.. Fords part interchange is about a year lol..

Still... you've got to live on a pretty big lake before they have diesel at the filling stations. I'm not sure Lake Cd'A has it, at least at the Resort's filling station. I don't remember seeing it at Hayden's station either. I might have just missed it, though.
