I have never been a huge fan of the surf package with MY intended purpose being wakeboarding and surfing periodically. I have always thought that if a person is buying their first wake boat with the surf package that when they go to wakeboard and fill the ballast 100% the boat will be extremely rear heavy now if the intended purpose is surf only it'd be great but why not just opt for the pro package to me this seems more beneficial since the bow becomes two separate bags rather than one. Maybe I'm wrong or one of the few that thinks this way..

Oh the irony. So then tell me how does a group of 5-6 users derail a thread with 12 pages of posts like "Tppcp" "got to pay to play" "ok back to jerking for real this time" send a message to the Tigé haters?

If you guys don't like an individual or a topic send me a private message or email me and I will handle it. Posting absolute nonsense to an otherwise useful and collaborative thread sends the wrong message. Back to the ASR topic...

Sorry Matt, was trying to derail the negativity that was going on in there. I apologize.

no, but I do know that its based on a windows based OS and there will be some nicer options to interface with. talked to medallion about the option to skin the interface or if templates could be applied to it. should be interesting to see the development of TT 2.0

as long as the screen has no flickering, or freezing up that will be a huge improvement. I would also like to see if the cruise control could be adjusted in .1mph increments instead of .2mph to help with dialing in the surf wake.

I think given the platform change and what they had to say... we should see more user interface \ options moving forward. that is for sure.

I asked my dealer about GPS vs Paddlewheel on my Z3. I told him I would prefer a GPS based system. He responded that folks on a lake love GPS, but folks on a river hate it. Why, because the GPS doesn't take into consideration the river's current. If the river has a 3mph current and you are traveling with the current then when the GPS says 10, you are going 7. When traveling against the current and the GPS says 10, you are going 13. Don't know if it's true, but it sure made sense to me.

I have to agree if I follow what you said. one of the things I think needs to be changed or addressed on the ASR is this. And before I get people all up in my space, I realize why its designed this way from a structrual perspective. But all the guys I know that go wakeboard add one huge bag upfront that usually fills the bow. When I saw the front under seat area all broke up into two big spaces.... I thought for a boat designed for wakeboarders.. this needs to change so that one very very large bag can added upfront that fills that space. (even in Reno they added bags in there to wieght it, so I know I am not totally off base here) maybe a rev change down the road. but I for one would prefer a large compartment under the front seats for one bag... not two for two smaller ones. But that is just my 2 cents. besides that I love the new boat.

I find it funny how anyone on here that questions ANYTHING about one of these boats is automatically deemed a Hater?? There was useful info in that thread and concern with basis IMO. I don't see why that makes me or anyone else who questions something a hater!!

that would make a lot of sense. What I like about certain GPS systems is that they dont shoot past the set speed....its like the software in the GPS cruise knows not to overshoot the set speed.

I agree 100% I have found on TO that if you say anything objectively based against a tige product that people get butt hurt pretty bad. Enough with that. Lets keep things as factual (and technical) and its hard to get upset over this.

Great point! The GPS relates the speed of the boat in relation to a fixed point, like the shoreline for example. The paddle wheel senses the speed of the boat in relation to the water which is why the GPS will function accurately in both scenarios whereas the paddle wheel will be off in the river.

Say you surf at 10.6 on the lake, if your heading upstream in a river you would have to increase your speed relative to the water in order to achieve the same effect as on a lake. Make sense?

The 5 to 6 have other means to keep their posting going or online friendships if thats what you call it. I cannot speak for them or why they did what they did last night but I though it was amusing That ASR thread had useful info in it but it was going downhill and I personally could care less about the ASR or whether or not it is a copycat boat.

I rarely post to this site anymore not because the PW thread is gone but rather I have made the friendships with those I wanted and its just not that important to me anymore. This was the best boat forum on the net and still is for the most part but there are a few that seem to be making it negative in my opinion. Not sure they are really haters just not the typical TO's crowd that I have seen for the past 6 years I have been a member. This is the one place that everyone was generally helpful and positive towards the brand unless it was a tool, stereo or truck war.

If it really bothered me enough to PM you I doubt it would do anything anyway we had to put up with Nobody and a few others for a long time before you did anything about it.

I am happy to still come here for the entertainment from time to time or seek out boat issues or advice so post on haters

He has to leave the key on all day in order for the GPS system to work correctly. It takes it a while to boot up and find itself. I do like the Smart Launch system, but I think the paddle wheel is more accurate and reliable.
Any idea if the TT 2.0 will have a Smart Launch feature? It seems like it would be really easy now with the new Shift-by-Wire throttle system.

This would make it really nice to be able to adjust how quickly you pull a rider up. My wife is a pretty good driver now so I've never really had my arms yanked out of their sockets but I've certainly had issues getting beginner wakeboarders and surfers up due to not being perfectly consistent with the throttle on launch.
