    The official Tige ASR thread.....

Since the other ASR magically disapeared I thought I would start up another thread. Does anyone have any more technical information on this boat yet? We know there are 3 ballast options, the base engine is the 415hp engine, you can get the ASR with and without the Convex VX.

Has anyone confirmed what type of ballast pumps they are using?

Is Tige using a Zero off GPS cruise control?

Is the Surf bimini an option on this boat?

I hope they forgo the paddle wheel/triducer. I've had a few problems with mine already. It's a bad design really. You can always get an aftermarket GPS setup, but with the way this thing will be priced they should have something better.

For the ballast pumps, I don't know yet. Probably still the same aerator Tsunami setup as everything else, I don't know why they would change anything other than the ballast timing system, which could use some refinement.

That was strange with the other thread magically disappearing though?

I deleted the other thread because it was filled with 12 pages of members who wanted to up their post count. It added no value to the forums.

This thread seemed to be the Official ARS Thread until it was hijacked and taken down the wrong path:http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...-2014-Tige-ASR

Not to derail the conversation, but I like the paddle wheel versus the GPS option. I've got a buddy with an Epic 23V that has the GPS smart tow option. He has to leave the key on all day in order for the GPS system to work correctly. It takes it a while to boot up and find itself. I do like the Smart Launch system, but I think the paddle wheel is more accurate and reliable.

There are other GPS systems where you dont have to leave it on, or when you shut it off and restart all of your settings are still saved.

About the seadek: Tige currently uses SeaDek for the swim platform and the transom walkover and all that correct? So is the SeaDek that is used in the ASR have the same feel to it, as far as the firmness and traction?

It would be nice to see if they could firm up the sea deck and increase the traction of it......When wet, the swim platform/transom walkover material on the G23 is dangerous!!! Tige could learn from them and make there product a little better.

you will be happy to know they are not using seadek.. they went with a new vendor. and its pretty cool stuff. I was able to talk and meet the design guy.

guess given they have the asr on thier site its good to drop this now.. http://gatorstep.com/

I have an ASR order form and I have to ask what are the three ballast options because as far as I can see there is only two? Ballast System - ASR Standard Package (3,000lbs) and a Ballast System - Surf Package (+1,000lbs) what is the third option I am not seeing? At the top of the order form it says "** 2014 Pricing Includes: INDMAR M60 415hp Motor, Standard Paint ...(skip ahead)... 3000lb. Under Floor Balast"

Your correct about there being only two. I was originally told three with option one being 1500#, but the next day found out that the 3000# was standard issue. I guess the additional surf package is sacs vs. bigger hard tanks. I wonder which storage area they plumb them into?

so they are using hard tanks at the 3000lb level and addon bags? that would be awesome to have that much underfloor weight. wonder what the "real world" ballast setup will turn into. iirc the older xstars had a basic level and mla/wakemakers were selling monster addons to stuff bags everywhere. interesting to see this boat sacked out and if it really helps the wake or if the surf package is all that's needed.
lots of weight to plow the water with..
