The elusive Z3 wakeboard wake

I have to do some more digging as i think most of the pics are on his comp.

The z3 has an excellent wakeboard wake. It is a bit tricky to find the right balance. You can make it super huge but it gets soft.

We found the best setup for the most consistent lip to be full stock pro ballast plus 800 lbs in the back of the boat. Too much in the nose makes it wash a bit. This is with no passengers.

Believe it or not though the boat had a better wakeboard wake with the wrong VX brackets. Once we had the right brackets put on, the wake was not as good as before. It is still good but the vx with lots of tail weight made it bigger and lippier.

My brother is in these pics. Same findings for the most part I do not have the VX. I found that the boat liked SOME bow weight over stock but to much and it gets mushy and washy.

Can't you calibrate the speed so that it is correct? Is every Z3 that way?

Not sure. Paddle wheels are finicky once loaded. Seems like the further you push the transom in the water the further out it gets. Unloaded and just cruising the speedo matches GPS.

You can calibrate it but once you start adding weight they are off...typically ride whatever speed the wake looks the best at anyway.
