    My .02
No one has EVER complained that their boat had too much power.

I've got a 2013 Z1 with the 6.0l PCM 409 and 3600lb's of ballots in the boat. The factory Prop was a Acme#381 and would move the boat to around 53 MPH, BUT would not hold speed surfing at 11 MPH. It would be all over, slug down to 10 MPH and then up at mid 12MPH. I changed the prop to the one I kept off our RZR which was an Acme#537 and noticed that the top end dropped to about 48 MPH, but the hole shot pull was a lot better. Now I've gone to the Acme #1235 and just as Chpthril has said "it's a tractor". Its dropped the top end down to about 44 MPH, but it's shear power out of the hole is stunning.
I still waterski and this summer I wanted to see if the if it would pull 2 skiers (200lb skiers) out on single slalom skies.
My wife driving with a single spotter and when we said "hit it", it was not a gentle pull out of the water. IT RIPPED us out of the water, question answered. My bad, I guess I had made a comment about "just set the cruise to 32MPH and pin it"
These boats (Tige Boats)(like there are any other) are work boats, their like the tug boats or "tractors", they have a purpose and a job. Thats to make a wave " A BIG WAVE ". And its nice to know that it does that better than my neighbor with a M$$bu.

The 5.7L is a good matchup for that boat. Running at top end sucks down the fuel quickly and although the 6.0L will improve top end and hotshot it really is not needed. The Z1 will perform well with the 5.7L and burn less fuel cruising.. The benefit vs. cost of the 6./L is really not worth it.. I would either use the money for other upgrades vs. eeking out a few mph.

        Welcome and enjoy.
