I don think you need one aft of the tower. The only time I've needed protection there was when rafting up with other boats. I was able to wrap a line around the base of the tower for an extra fender there but I don't raft up very often. I haven't needed an extra fender there for docks. Even short docks. I have used the mid cleat a few times for dock lines on short docks and it comes in very handy for that application.

Where I placed them is the best place for fenders.

I added cleats in the bow area of the 20V I had. I went with Tige embossed ones because on the shorter boat it looked funky with the mission cleats being so close. on the larger boats non embossed ones are fine. having cleats up front worked well for docking and the stock mid ship ones is where we hung fenders. The cleats in the bow worked great when docking but we also used elastic ropes hooked to the bow eye for rough water and overnight docking.
good luck.
