My plans for Memorial Day are always the same, not going to the lake.
There are only three weekends I don't go to the lake. Memorial, the 4th of July and Labor Day. All three bring out every crazy with a boat or a camper or a beach chair. Not interested. I hate people.

Bummer, dude! We're lucky...the party lakes are closer to Austin, so our lake stays deserted (relatively speaking).

Seems like it is usually rainy and cold here during memorial day.

I agree with Nickypoo - too many people on the lake that weekend. We are planning go out on weekdays this summer and try to avoid the crowds.

The Tige' Nerds list was interesting. Tige M.D. is so senior he is semi-retired now. NICKYPOO (All Caps) is the youngest member on the list. He hasn't even been posting for a year yet. At this rate he will pass them all.

I feel like a senior at 48.

Over Memorial day I will go to Havasu as usual. Will not go on the lake Saturday but will early Sunday when all the youngsters are still nursing their hangovers. Haven't failed me in 5 years. Monday morning is pretty good also as they all hit the road early to beat the crowds.
I will head home Tuesday for a nice leisurely drive.
