'11 Z1 Rear Locker Hydraulic Openers

Has anyone had issues with the openers/arms coming off the locker lids? It seems to be bad design as the arm opens/closes at a compound angle. Has anyone put new arms on in different locations? Any help is greatly appreciated. Not only did the port side arm disconnect from the door, but also the hull when I opened it during a surf session and it ended up at the bottom of Seneca Lake yesterday

We had issue with this on our '13 Z1. For us it appeared as if the retaining clips were not installed correctly from the factory. Our dealer replaced them mid season for us and things went well for the 2nd half. We have been keeping a very close eye on them. That being said, I do agree that the angle install is a poor choice. Maybe this is part of why Tige changed it for 2014.

You could possibly remount a few things and install straight on? I know we have given thought to that.

I was thinking about mounting inline like u mentioned. Wondering if anyone else had, and if so could provide info. Thought about getting new arms as the ends and clips seem to be worn out.
