I remember reading some time back that Tige changed the hulls on the first z3 models as they didn't surf that well? Can anyone shed some more light on that or point me to the old thread? I can't seem to find it, if I remember correctly there was even the info on what serial numbers to watch out for? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the first run models were essentially the 24V hull as it has chines as well. When i was at the factory in 2012 during the release of the z3 I was told it was the 24V hull. So if that is true, I am sure it is possible to make a great wake out of it if waited right. The 24V has a killer wake.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

From what I was told, and apparently I'm the guy that blamed my lack of surfing skills on the boat, there were 14 Z3's made before they changed the hull design. I find it strange that I was able to miraculously improve my surfing skills over the 9 months that Tige had my boat modifying the hull, because now I have no problems whatsoever surfing. The last 2 numbers in the serial number will tell you what production number each boat is. Mine was 13. If you'd like any more information, feel free to ask.
