Chrome chipping off the board racks!!!

Billet aluminum

GMan... Our racks are the hydraulic racks from Phat Budde. They are made from solid pieces of billet aluminum...no chrome. Just polished. You can take a look in the gallery... You have to keep them waxed up and clean to keep them sparkly...but I do like them better than the chrome models for the very reasons we are talking through on this thread... wrangler

monster racks arent chromed- they're made from billet aluminum and polished. Chrome-plated aluminum is usually cheap pot metal undernead, which is what wake designes uses.

I thought the monster racks were billet as well...but I don't have them so didn't know for sure. It seems to me that sticking to stainless and billet in the marine environment makes sense where you can do it to avoid the kind of problems expressed in this thread...
