I think teaser shots of the wake are akin to car manufacturers releasing the 0-60 times and HP figures of new car models. .... I don't think tige owes us anything more than releasing press releases and teaser videos here first, which they are doing.

Im stoked to see the wakeboarding wakes. I guess I am no longer the norm since wakeboaring and cable riding are my primary water sports. Wakesurfing is certainly fun but I probably only do that about 20% of the time on the water. If it surfs, thats awesome but I wont be disappointed if its not the best wakesurf wake (although it sounds like is gonna do both).

I just care it puts out a big clean wake.... usually only surf if peeps that have never been want to give it a try.. just not my cup of tea. I still love the thrill of jumping and trying new things... so if that puts me in the minority... that is ok with me... I once bought a dry suit from a guy in Orem, he said he was the 3rd best slalom skier in the world for his age (had to be like 70 or so).... we always joke that someday that can be my wife and I.... the 3rd best in the world... for my age that is..hahah

I don't think it's too hard to make the tige convex hull surf well, so we can be sure it will surf. But it sounds first and foremost a wakeboard boat, which is just what Tige needs right now market-wise. That being said I can see the surf wave being a killer "added bonus" to the flagship wake boat. We shall see.

I just hope it has a gate setup on it for surfing... I know... I know.... You guys are cool with listing your boats and will defend it until Tige does "wake up" *( pun intended) and do something cool.. But for me.. No Gate.. No new Tige... And Yes I have surfed a SG boat just a few short weeks ago, and Yes it has push.. any *Tige dealer that feeds you that line is full of Malibu has it figured out 100%.. So much so my inlaws just traded in their 2012 MC and ordered a 2014 BU VLX with SG *based on that water test and my evaluation of the surfing... I won't be far behind with a new LSV if Tige does not deliver.

On the topic of the convex hull and and a surf gate type feature, I think the brand has to be thinking real hard about the opposing ideas of a tried and true patented convex hull and potentially adding a drag-inducing gadget on it. They are contradicting ideas. I'm not for or against the idea, I'm just thinking about the angle they would take on retaining their differentiation in that area.

Where did I say a listed boat was dangerous in my post? The advantage of SG and NSS in my opinion is the sub 2 second transfer to the other side. It makes surfing with both goofy and regular riders easy.. They're simply is no setup from side to side. Just hit the switch and your on the other side. Being able to drive the boat flat is just an added bonus...

The rumor is this new boat is targeted at the G series.. Well, the G series has NSS so lets hope Tige targeted that to.

I want nothing more to buy another Tige (my 4th tige in 7 years) I love my dealer just need my dealer to be able to offer me a product I want.

I don't board much and am not good, so wakeboarding is a distant second in my boating decisions, but that wake looks amazing and will be interested to see the end product. it's always fun to see new products released

Ks, YOU didn't say a listed boat is dangerous but that is the main marketing push from Bu and Nautique and it's the prevelant discussion point on WW, BuCrew and Palnet Nautique. Most people that get a new boat with SG or NSS state that their wife or girlfriend is uncomfortable or feels unsafe having the boat listed. I just don't buy the false safety claim since I have searched the web and WW and have not seen any stories or articles about a boat that capsized or sunk due to being listed for surfing.

Back on topic, I'm glad this will be a wakeboard specific boat too. I don't ride as much as I used to, only once or twice a year but many of my friends do and I hope my kids will as well. It's a great sport which is still progressing from the riders to the boards and of course the boats, and it's great to watch.

tick tock... flying out in 4 hours. curious as hell about the boat, and the future of the line.. my assumption is this was the new RZ2, but mid stream it changed to a new model... so my thoughts are instantly thinking what is the future of the RZ4/RZ2 and and will there be a 24ft model of this new boat?
