"I mean come on Tige. As many problems as I had with my Z3 there is no way this boat could be priced the same as a G23."
    "
Yeah because every G23 built is perfect. Give me a fuggin break! I worked in the industry they ALL have issues of some sort. So if your Z3 is junk trade it on G and move on. Having delt with warranty issues on multiple brands I can tell you Tige was by far the best company to work with when it came to fixing issues.

IMPO...Maybe your dealer is tired of hearing you bash him and Tige and could care less if you ever get your upholstery issue ever get taken care of. I sure wouldn't hold it against him!

Tige made approximately 16 Z3's that are now considered 'first run' models and have a very different hull shape. If you are unlucky enough to have bought one of those, you won't be able to get a decent wave out of it no matter what you do. Really a bad error on Tige's part. Once Ragboy got a hold of his and could not make a wave out of it, he went to the factory and the prototyped a pretty much new hull...and that is what is now called a Z3. There was a pretty sad thread a few months back about a guy who thought he was getting a Ragboy quality wave, and when the lights went on and he figured out what was going on, he was a little upset. Personally, it has undermined my trust in Tige getting it right the first time, but from what I hear, this one had more riders involved the first time around.
        Be excellent to one another.

So, with the x-star being held a model year before its 2nd release and the 2014 fix for "spray-gate" what are you buying next? Maybe a G since they have maybe fixed the weak prop shaft in the 2013's........Or maybe a centurion with the CATS and RAM that seems to be so complicated to use that the guys driving the boat for a recent event said screw it and used a factory default setting.

So I really am pumped about the ASR! It looks incredible! I only assume gas mileage is bad, but a boat that makes the biggest wave of course will have high fuel cost. No one seemed to mention the cnc machine. I think that's awesome that they are going that route. It sure will create consistency and accuracy with newer boats coming down the line. I really like the direction Tige is going. I still like more rear facing seats is my suggestion. I loved it when I moved from my RZ2 to Z3. I cant wait to play with the color combos in the Tige build.
            GO BIG!!

Wow. I am surprised they didn't do something about it. I just ordered a z3 so I sure am thankful it's been out a few years to get some fixes along the way.

Most of that is accurate, but as far as I know, every single one of those boats was altered to closely match the new Z3 hull.

I can also say that this boat was tested much more thoroughly ahead of time and I have seen the surf wave also. The surf wave was not the priority with this boat, since the Z3 surf wake is so good IMHO. The surf wake on the plug of the ASR looked great, I was with RJ, Chase and Dom and the shape looked great even though the boat was very underweighted. I can't wait to see what it can do.

                  .
That is great to hear. Tige did not go out of their way to contact this guy about it:

                  http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...early-build-Z3

Hopefully after that experience, they did have some sort of recall and those boats are not floating around any longer.

Ragboy, how much is a Z3 with monster surf experience and 900 hours on the engine worth? Or is it going to sort of be like Tim White's boat...not suitable for the general public, so it will go into hiding for a while. I forgot to get a surf nubbin' from you at the Tige owners event,

I for one would take Tim's boat...ha! I actually had a really good conversation with him about his new boat while at the World Wake Surfing Championships.....he mentioned the "new" boat had a killer stereo that would impress us. Looks like he didn't disappoint! I for one can't wait to hear those 808s...but would like an XXX in place of the FA-10.

I agree Tall, hopefully those Z3s have ALL been modified to the new hull design.

Like Ragboy mentioned, Dom and Chase have ridden in the new one and both vouched for it as a very impressive surf wave that they could only guess would be equal to the Z3 once all design was complete! I'm sure we will get some photos this weekend while at Reno!

Hard to tell but, the wake is huge.

But you know what is funny? The people who own the boat in my pic from that thread that has the chines have not had any changes made to it and they primarily surf and absolutely love the boat. Interesting eh? They had the boat at our local dealer reunion this year and were surfing the heck out of it. So when people say that it doesn't surf, what does that really mean?

To me, it says they're jaded.
