Pics of my Tigé factory tour! Hand built right here in the USA!

Last week my buddy, Clint, and I were fortunate enough to take a tour of the Tigé factory in Abilene, TX guided by jeanw on here (Jean Wagner). We had a blast and got to see a lot of things that others haven't seen yet but couldn't take pics to prove it It was great to see that Tigé is hand built right here in the USA.
Did you know that Tigé makes the following right in there factory:
    • Hulls
    • Deck
    • Seats
    • Ballast bags
    • All upholstery is cut and stitched right on site
    • All of the wiring harnesses are hand made on site
    • All plastic is cnc cut out of sheets on site

There are only a few items that Tigé doesn't make at their location that I could see: gas tank, tower, engine and hard parts like the computer and gauges and the steering components. Everything else is all made right there in Abilene.

Due to a new model's mold being built while we were there, I was not allowed to take pictures in the glassing/gelcoat area of the factory but that's ok with me!
    Enjoy!

Check out that custom ordered Z tower! Didn't even know that was option any longer. Someone must want to put a Rev 410 on their tower!

Timmy, which boat is the last one? The green/blue/white one? The bottom of the transom area looks to have a different design then Tiges I have seen in the past.

                  Looks like a Z3 or maybe a Z1.

Apparently I'm an idiot and never realized my boat had hard ballast tanks underneath the carpet. I saw those pictures and ran outside to verify. I always thought it was just the bags. Now here comes a stupid question. Does the front have hard tanks to? And how much of the 1200 pounds in the back goes to the hard tanks?

Good stuff Tim. One thing that I love when I visit the factory is the smell of fiberglass/resin in the air. Ya I maybe weird but I think I associate the smell of new boat with it.

Thats the Z Tower. I had that one on my RZ2 and loved it. Very tall and sturdy.

RZR have no bow hard tanks, just stern. Stern hard tanks on RZR are only 200 lbs per side. Maybe bigger boats have larger hard tanks? Soft bags make up the majority of the weight.

My RZ2 has 250# hard tanks under the floor.

Thanks for the pics, Timmy. Always cool to see the different stages of the builds.

Every time I see the pictures of the inside of the hull before the deck is put on, I have the same question -- WHY CARPET IN THE STORAGE AREAS? I know it's probably relatively cheap and easy to work with, but with the prices of these boats nowadays, they could at least offer something more practical (that doesn't retain water) as an option. This is particularly true under the bow sacs, where you can't get in and lift the sacs to dry it out.
