    Ballast pump

Does anyone have this type/brand of ballast pump in thier boat? Or know who made this pump?

I haven't taken it out yet, but I can't see any of the information on it....any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Josh.

Yellow Aerator pumps are usually either Johnson or Mayfair brands. I believe they are the same pump, different name. Do a search under the model number + aerator pump and the GPH if you can see it and I am sure a replacement pump and/or replacement cartridge will come up. I couldn't read the model number on the pic. What issue are you having? Let everyone know your issue and I am sure there will be some good suggestions posted for you.

Its a 500 GPH Mayfair brand. Mayfair was pickup by Johnson/SPX a few years back. To my knowledge, Johnson still offers a pump thats about the same. But, you can easily convert that to an Attwood T800 pump if a suitable Johnson pump is not readily available.

      The Johnson/SPX 750 90* is part number #38703

Sweet, you are the man Chpthril. That is exactly what I was hoping for.

Dandy - I don't want to tell it all yet (another post w/pics coming)(ha,ha), but what I can tell so far is I have 2 of these pumps not working. 1 on the fill side and 1 on the drain side - they don't power up.....but I haven't had chance to really dig into it all yet.

Again, thanks for the info guys!!

If its the drain and fill pumps for the same ballast tank, then start at the switch. B+ for both come through the same switch. Word of caution though, good luck trying to service those pumps for any reason. Those outlet nipples get brittle and will break off if you even look at the pump cross eyed.

            Yeah, roger that.

No, they are on different tanks. I think there is a total of 8 of these pumps in the boat......and the bilge pump isn't working....

Sounds like a good reason to replace them all by itself. You don't need a broken pump dumping water in your bilge.
