Bilge pump and ballast tank 3/4 "tubing

    Hi,

Does anyone know where to get the stock 3/4" tubing used for the ballast and bilge pumps? I want to put in a second bilge pump in near the V drive, and "Tee" it to the present pump outlet.

    Thanks

If its the black stuff on the bilge that the ballast system has thats the standard 3/4" reinforced ballast hose. Just about anywhere that sells ballast parts has it. Look up Chpthrl on here as he sell it. Thats where I got mine when i expanded my system. You can also get it from wakemakers or directly from fly high/barefoot international. Many other places too.

I even found some in the Lowe's for the pumps that do water features in your front yard.

I have gotten it from Wakemakers, or ask CHP.

For just a few feet to run from a secondary bilge to T into the original bilge, the price to ship would probably eat up any savings found online over the price at your local marine supply.

I got some from the House of Hose in Spokane, WA. It's a local shop that specializes in all type of industrial hose for hydraulics to fuel and oil so I'm sure some type of industrial grade supply store has something for you, but it doesn't have to be the exact same stuff, it's low pressure water so it only has to be 3/4" inner diameter.

I love telling my wife that I am going to the House of Hos.

If you T off into the original bilge line, then it will just drain back into the bilge through the pump that is not on at the time. Won't you need a check valve on both hoses for that?

Some bilge pumps do come with a one way valve in the outlet, but the easy way is to just run both pumps at the same time. No harm is one pump is running dry.

                  Hi,

I was considering check valves in each line, but will see what the pumps have for valves already in them. Anyone already know about the 2011 standard Rulemate?

What about these 2 types of tubing? http://www.homedepot.ca/product/svbn...-3-4-id/925297 or http://www.homedepot.ca/product/sbvn...-3-4-id/925306

                  Thanks

The hose in the second link will work just fine, but you will want to have check valves in both lines, near the T. The pumps won't have anything like this on them. If you are ordering check valves, might as well get the better hose too. Here's a link to the check valves (which you can get from multiple sources as well):
