    New Centurion CX44

    image.jpg

Merced, CA, Sept 6, 2013; With the much anticipated FX44 release in plain view, the entire wake industry was in awe as Centurion unveiled the CX44, a new concept boat that was introduced to the market at Surf Expo today. The all new CX44 merges the Centurion performance luxury line with the ultimate wake surfing technology of the proven FX hull. The CX44 is Centurion's first sport specific center console boat that places the cockpit squarely in the center of the boat maximizing space and seating capacity, something that was unsuccessfully attempted by another manufacturer only once before. With the added innovations of Centurion's RAMFILL and CATS technology, the CX44 is poised to overtake the watersports market. The CX44 makes a dominate statement in Centurion's commitment to wake surfing.

The CX44 was built on the hugely successful, FX hull that was introduced in 2012. As Surf Expo's largest exhibitor, Centurion held a grand unveiling in front of 130 dealers and thousands of Expo attendees just one day after its largest dealer meeting ever. Standing tall next to the SV244, SS210, CX44, and Carbon Pro was the all new FX44, Centurion's larger version of it's popular FX22 that was released last year.

    Hmmm, what are your thoughts?

That's a horrible boat! Guess the driver is the only one that gets to stay warm on those cold days, everyone else is out in the wind with no windshield or way to get away from the cold.

I'm with Timmy, not a fan at all. It looks like a weird pod in the middle of a section al couch. I love a center console fishing boat, but not a wakeboard boat.

I could see this as a competition only boat but for people with families and recreational use, not that practical!

Mastercraft had a Tristar years ago that just had a single side console pod like that. Then had seating all down the port side front to back. I've only seen a few over the years. There was one for sale at a place I used to live near. It sat for sale the whole 3 years I lived there. Wasn't a desireable model. Can't see this catching on, but may appeal to some. Never know.

They have no info on it that I could find! ie. ballast, demo videos etc.... hard to make a judgement off of this picture only. As of right now I would have to be with Timmy. I thought the new sv244 was a super cool looking boat with some nice features. We shall see what the wake community descides

Nah - just well coordinated throwable floatation devices.

Kinda like it. Definitely like the extra board racks. That Bimini...not so much. Would be interested to see if that helm has enough room for sub, amps, etc...

The only this cool about this boat is that it is orange and white! Must of hired a Mastercraft tower designer to do this boat.
