Taps piston leaking fluid- 2011 z1

Bought boat new and had pink fluid leaking where piston mounts to rear of transom. Had dealer look at it and they replaced it under warranty. Now having the exact same thing happening, pink fluid is leaking thru the caulked adhesive in same spot. Anyone else with this issue, and what could be the cause. Dropped off at dealer this past weekend to have it checked again. The taps is operational thou. Is there a seal that's going bad?

I had that problem. It was a bad cylinder. Mine had no replaceable seals.

I had that happen too. Detach the ram from the boat and clean all of the silicone off. Tighten the nut that is on the backside of it (that came loose and was where the fluid was leaking). Reseal it using the 3M Fastcure adhesive and then put all of the screws back in.

Thanks for your guys input, that nut loosing is exactly what the tech sayed it was last time. Is there a reason or any preventive measures that can be taken to keep this from happening. Also do I need to replace fluid that's been lost, I assume its some kind of hydraulic fluid?

I have been noticing fluid in my bilge as of late, and my TAPS pump was low on fluid. I am guessing this is exactly what is going on with mine as well...

I was told that standard ATF fluid is whats used - I have an '99 so I'm unsure if that is still the case with the newer models though...
