With 4 actuators, a controller, all the metal work, powder coating or painting, etc, etc, etc, this thing has to be at least $3k-$4k.
I think the piece being motorized is definitely the way to go. A fixed device just seems like a bit of a pain and may be limited to specific (optimum) ballast to get the best results.
The big question for me would be, does it motor down enough to positively affect the wakeboard wake? Or is this a surf only device?

Interested to see the finished product. When I was building mine I tested one last year that I could manually tilt the plate up or down (pic below). For me the more I tilted it off horizontal the more it flattened the wave. Looks like you perhaps have the ability to move each side independently????Attached Files

That video was 11.8 slower than normal he don't surf much so that's what we did It at normal speed I ride of 13.0.
No price should be 1500-2000 range bit will be a few options. Independent movement yes. .. I've had great success been able to weight both side full and use the plat down on one side to get camber anr other to shape... pretty neatwww.1320diesel.com Home of the Fastest Diesels!

Did you get a patten on it? I know of a company that is doing the exact same thing with the vx. They have the vx with actuators to list the boat in the direction you want to surf.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3
