Where to buy?

Does anyone know where I can get the cover (guess its the spark arrestor cover) for my boat. It is the cover that says 350 mag mpi. It is a 2000 21i. When I bought it, it had a round beat up one on it and every pic I have ever seen of an engine like my boat has this one. Anyone know anything?

I guess the first place I would look is your nearest mercury certified dealer. They have access to all mercury parts. They should be able to tell you if they are still available. You don't need it, as its just for looks. The round beat up thing is the flame arrestor and is under the plastic cover you see in the picture. Its just for looks, but if you want it I'd check with mercury first.

And if the flame arrester is looking beat up you should get a new one of those too, might improve airflow to the engine.

I bet you could easily find an aftermarket marine flame arrestor. Theres only a few different throttle body diameters whether its carb, TBI or MPI.
