    Spark plugs

    Ok guys does anyone know what spark plugs to use to replace the oem plugs on a 2002 20v riders edition?

      What's in there now? I have a 97 but my Merc. manual shows these plugs for all engines. Maybe someone with your same engine will chime in?

        Spark Plugs in the EFI are as follows:
        AC Delco MR43LTS (longer reach than the 43t, which will carbon up in efi motors)
        NGK BPR6EFS
        DO NOT USE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!! They will break, always.
        Also, on every mercruiser the spark plug model for that engine is listed on the identification cover as well as the required octane fuel rating.
        Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
