    Mirror advice

The mirror that comes with the RZ2 is junk we all know that. It does not fit the winshield bracket well, and is all in your field of view. The only time I need a mirror is when it is just my wife and I on the boat(which is few and far between). The cheapest thing i have seen out there that does not get in your sight is one that attaches to tower that is over $500. I like the one that they put on the Z3, but my dealer did not have one to see how well it would fit without ordering one. Any advice on a cheaper approach not looking to fork out the thousands they wanted for the video?

What year is your RZ2? Mine didn't even come with a mirror so I bought one, but it's not the nice new mirror. Dingleberry has a 2008/9 RZ4 like mine and he tried to install the new fancy mirror but it didn't fit on his windshield frame, his frame is thicker than the newer frames, so PTM had to send him a different base that fits on his windshield frame. He has a thread on here somewhere about his pimp my Tige prize pack.

I was debating upgrading my mirror earlier this summer. I ended up purchasing the PTM Edge 100 combo mirror, I debated for probably 4 months if it was worth the cost. I am very very happy with the purchase, but we use our mirror every time we are on the water. The bracket is supper nice, easy to fold down, the quality of the mirror is much better than my other mirror, and I can see a skier the whole time running the course at 22' off.

I upgraded my mirror this year to the PTM 140. So far I like it a lot, a lot wider view. I was able to attach mine to my tower.

I recommend PTM Edge (PCC-140 Pro)

The mirror that they gave me is just like the one in the pics of the 2013 R20 that is for sale. On my winshield the bracket is so long that it wants to dig into the winshield.

My bracket came with many adhesive rubber pads (wedges) to use to fit the windshield trim perfectly. The backet is super snug with no gaps. I trimmed the rubber wedges to size and installled. It should not cut into the windshield stainless trim at all.

If needed, call PTMEdge and I am sure they will send you some adhesive rubber wedges probably free.

That's the mirror I have as well, but I mount it backwards from the picture of the R20, with my adjustment knobs on the outside of the windshield, it picks the mirror up out of my line of sight. And I only put the mirror on when I'm pulling a rider. I'm going to upgrade to the PTM someday, but probably after I add FAE this winter.

Way cheaper than the PTM mirrors. I dont own one but here is a link to a bit of a discussion on it.
