What is the secret to getting a clean wake on the star board side of the boat for surfing?? What settings should I use, going 10.4 MPH

Both sacks are full on that side of the boat.

Bump the speed up, probably 10.8-11.2 and try taps around 3 or so. I'm assuming you meant RZ4?

yes RZ 4, seems cleaner on the Port side at the same settings.

Also what is the optimum setting for beginner wake boarders at less than a 100 lbs. and for me at 185?

Congrats on your new boat and welcome to the site. There are a number of RZ4 owners that should be able to pop in and help out.

For surfing what sacs are they?

For wakeboarding, I could be wrong but if both weights are beginners the settings should be the same. What are your current wakeboarding settings that you have tried? I would suggest no ballast 18 - 20 mph, depending on age and comfort level, and about 65' rope. Taps at 1. Once you start to get more comfortable you can start to bump things up. IMO it is more important to learn correct form and technique rather than sac it out right off the bat.

Add a little bit more to the opposite non-surf side and maybe even a little bit up front on the non-surf side and pump the speed up a bit as said. The starboard side is always going to be a little trickier to get clean than the port side because of the prop wash.

My RZ2 surfs best at 11.0 and taps @ 3-4

Have everyone start surfing with rope and when they can go long runs with constant slack in the rope than you let them throw rope back to boat...
