We just got out new (preowned) 2005 22i. I'd like to wax it up before it goes in the water to keep it looking as good as it does right now. Any recomendations on waxes or anything to keep the gel coat from oxidizing?

I have heard good things about the new "Babes" boat products, http://www.babesboats.com/index.php
Someone on WW said that they had a good experience with it.
One other thing...is this the Meyers? Regardless, I think I know someone who just picked up this same boat!

Guys, you don't use wax on a boat in the first place. I turns yellow when it gets really hot. It also does not protect gellcoat very well. You use a polish not a wax. A polish is usually a polymer. The best polish that I have found is aqua-tech. It is a oolymer that physicaly and chemicly bonds togeather, not like a wax that just coats the surface. I know this because that is what I do I buff boats for a living. I can be purchased at aquatech-marine.com.GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!

I use a funky combination of things.
I think that 3M or Meguiar's make the best wax, which i try to do twice per year.
I use vinegar and water mix with a little bit of liquid wax in it and have been satisified with that.
When my mood dictates, I break out the 303 protectant for both the interior and hull. It is excellent. When you put it on, it may be a little streaky (it's less if you mix it half and half with water), but you'll find the next few wipedowns can be done with just a rag and your boat will be shiny like the day it left the sales lot.
I was surprised to not hear from any other 303 disciples here.Be excellent to one another.
